Pouyesh Tazrigh has developed and mass-produced Iran’s first locally designed tirzepatide injection pen for subcutaneous delivery, compatible with a 3 mL drug cartridge and precise 0.6 mL dosing.
Developed by a knowledge-based company founded by University of Tehran faculty, students, and alumni, the platform has been used to design injection pens for five years.
The pen complies with ISO 11608-1 and ISO 13485 requirements, has achieved TRL 9, and its first 3,000-unit batch has been supplied to a domestic pharmaceutical company.
